Hello All . . .
January has gotten off to a good start - I finished putting on the
'Franklin Scrapbook' and am caught up with all submissions from you
people out there in Internet Land. So, if you want to see new additions
to the website, start digging through you data/photos and send them in now!

Being caught up has given me a chance to work on my personal website at:
www.thegreatconnection.com. I even ventured to put together a couple
slideshow videos (one of the local Charlton Parade that I shot in 2009)
and uploaded them to YouTube. My channel:

I have a question for anyone descended from Charles Edward (Edward Charles) (1859-1931) Burrows and Ada N Downs (1863-1899). They lived in and around Deposit, NY and had at least 9 children. Other researchers / descendants believe Ada N Downs was the adopted daughter of Joseph Willis Downs and Angeline Benedict.
According to a US Social Security Applications and Claims Index for James Frederick Burrows, son of Charles and Ada, his mother's maiden name was Ada J Sharp. According to the county marriage record for Lewis H. Burrows, son of Charles and Ada, his mother's maiden name is Ada Downs.
There is an Ada J Sharp of the right age living in Onandaga, NY in 1865 with her uncle Clinton Whitman.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone else is researching this family and maybe has any insight. I can't see the original social security application or index, just what was transcribed and added to Ancestry.com. So I don't know if there's a transcription error or if the 2 sons had different mothers named "Ada" or just didn't know who mom was.....
