I recently found a photograph of George Travell, Cecil Travell, and three of
his children taken in Hobart, New York, on May 16, 1936. You mentioned them in
the email you sent me in April (below). You also mentioned Revillo Travell
from Gilboa, New York, who must be a son of my ancestor, John Travell. The
Travells came over from Eaton Bray, Dunstable, Bedfordshire, England, in about
1799. Circuit Travell (his mother was Martha Circuit) and his wife, Judith
Purcell, came to America by ship. Their son, John, was born in 1803 or 1804 in
Albany, New York. John Travell married into the Rose family.

Seeking info on Ferris DAVIS who married Mary SIGNOR according to DELAWA note on Bovine Families "D". Have been able to locate 3 Ferris DAVIS in Delaware and Ulster Counties but found only one census, 1870 Kortright that matches both names, however its possible that Mary may have been married prior to this marriage. Any assistance would be depply appreaciated, as this is but one of the many brick walls in the Signor genealogy I am researching.
Why Wait? Move to EarthLink.
I received my Headwaters of History newsletter today announcing the soon to
be published "Davenport, Fact and Fancy" book by Mary Briggs. Does anyone
know if there is a waiting list to get on for when it is available? Or,
could someone please watch for it locally and post a message to the list or
to me when it is ready. I don't live in the area and would not know.
Does anyone have any BABCOCK ancestors in Delaware County. Specifically

Are these names familiar to anyone? In 1840 Levi Bartlett (Bartlet) was shown in the census living in Sydney with Lyman Cohoon. I hope to find if they are related. If you know ANYTHING about either of these men, please email me. -- Sammie Birdsall

I am trying to find out information on the William Brown family.
William Brown was born abt. 1770 and married Zilphia Fuller.
Their children were:
Amos, John, Henry, Royal, William, Horace, Oliver, Mary, Phoebe, Ann and
William was suppose to have been in the Revolutionary war. I don't think
all of his children were born in Delaware County, New York. I would like to
find record of them in Delaware County, possibly a marriage date of William
and Zilphia and records of some of the births, particularly Amos. Would
love any suggestions or information that may be helpful.
Thanks ever so much,

Just found out I'm going to have a free Saturday in Walton later in June. I'd hoped to be there on a weekday in order to visit the Town Clerk's office and perhaps get some copies of birth/death certificates, but that being impossible I'm trying to come up with some research alternatives.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what resources might be available on a Saturday? Is there a town library or genealogical office? Any info would be appreciated.
I plan on being in NY from 7 Sep thru 16 Sep. I do intend to visit
Sidney to see if I can find info on my gggrandfather William Wright
father of Johnson Wright b 1828. I have found that actually Sidney
Plains is involved, can anyone tell me about this city or village?
What society would be most likely to have info and is someone willing
to do a little research? I am trying to focus on certain people. Brick
Where would likely records be stored and what hours would they be
I am trying to do as much as possible before I arrive as I have limited
time and resources and I must also go to Forestport in Oneida co. for
research on an adopted grandfather. Any suggestions on where to look
for that info?
I will probably only have one day in Sidney, one day in Unadilla where
my Graves family lived and then on to Forestport.
I will be in Albany on the 8th and 9th to research for early records
there, then Cooperstown to visit a sister and maybe research there a
little, I am going to go to Oneonta for pictures and grave records. I
am getting copies of maps and library hours. Any suggestions to save
time or money will be appreciated.
