Catherine and Cedelia may be daughters of Martin Henry b.1800 & wife Margaret who were
in the census at Ghent from 1850 to 1880 and are buried at Old Ghent Cemetery. The census
for Martin has him also born in either Germany or France.

I am looking for any information on the parents of Catharine ARNOLD (nee HENRY,
1827-1905). Catharine lived in Columbia County from sometime before her marriage to Martin
ARNOLD in 1845 until late 1849 when they moved west to Illinois (via Madison County). US
Census records suggest that Catharine was born in either Germany or France, and that her
family immigrated to the US in about 1830.
Catharine married Martin ARNOLD at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ghent on 15 Feb.
1845. Her parents are not named in the notes for the marriage record. I have found two
other women with the surname HENRY in those same church records, and I wonder if either of
them might be connected to the family in some way:
Harriet Amanda HENRY, m. Albert Fitch 11 Sept. 1826
Cedelia HENRY, m. Lewis Gilbert 2 Sept. 1848
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!
