Susan (I think I saw your name on another post), thank you so much for looking up those
things for me--both from the Kelly book and then the Claverack church records. I have
printed them out and will be mulling them over. But now I definitely have the marriage of
Phoebe J. Coventry and John H Jenkins now plus the death of their first son, Seth. I saw
a reference to his death somewhere before, and his name is what led me to John
Jenkins' father and grandfather, both Seth Jenkins, founders of Hudson. I have one
question: how can the John/Phoebe marriage be in the Oct 16 paper if it took place Oct
On the 1830 census of Stuyvesant, p 54/58, soon to be Columbiaville/Stockport, I can see
nine people in Alexander Coventry's house, he and his wife and younger people ranging
from 20/30 down to 5/10. Two are males, one perhaps Alexander W. Coventry. Thanks again.
