The Columbia County Court records are stored at the County Clerks
office. To search them
you would need to know the name of the plaintiff (probably NYS) and
The cases are indexed. The indexes are located on the second story of
the County clerks office along with the property deeds. The actual
case files are stored in a separate room
in the same building.
The Columbia Co. Clerk's Office is located are 560 Warren Street,
Hudson, NY 12534
This office includes the Clerk of Supreme and County Courts.

I am not sure how far the court records go back. Some may have been
lost in a court house fire some time ago.
Check with this office to see whether they might have the record you
are seeking. Let me know what you find out.

I believe that my ancestor Joseph Roberts of Sandisfield, MA was
