Paly was definitely Mary. The Dutch pronounce the letter 'a' as 'ah'. So
Paly sounded the same as Polly, which is a nickname for Mary.
On the same page (7), Isaac Johnson & Elizabeth Grad had a daughter Maly baptized Aug
6, 1786. We would call her Molly. She was born June 14 of that year. Sponsors: James
Johnson, Maly Chatter.
There are 59 baptisms for Snyder or Schneider. Of the 20 individuals involved, 10 were
males (so the names of their children were Snyder or Schneider). There were 17 marriages,
but none for Peter.
This book contains baptism and marriage records for four Reformed Churches in Columbia
County: Ghent, West Ghent, Mount Pleasant, and Stuyvesant Falls. There is a single index
for the four churches, so Isaac Schneider did not have any children baptized at any of the
