Just a little bit of info on Mallory Canyon and Tippett.
Nevada Place Names by Helen S. Carlson page 232.
Tippett [White Pine] The name of a town on the west side of Antelope Valley, and pass on
State Route 2 southwest of the town [GHM, WP 4] Tippett post office, active from May 11,
1896, to December 15, 1913, and from June 4, 1914, to June 30, 1926, was named for a Mr.
tippett, a wealthy sheepman in the ares. {FTM, p 29, NHS 1924, p 307]
No listing for Mallory or Mallory Canyon in the book.
