I thought I had answered this back in December. Bottom Line: I could not find evidence
of her in Nevada or Florida, other than the below Death Indices. Her mother, Olive, died
in 1987 in Michigan (add'l info below). Olive's obit, if published, might have
location of Muriel at that time. I'd contact the cemetery, they might have the obit,
or burial transfer/burial permit which might show the name of the funeral home handling.
The funeral home may have written the obit and might have a copy. The other siblings
might also know where she lived and was buried.
I know you have this, and on other postings in Broward, FL:
The Florida Death Index:
Muriel C. Lahaie, died 8 Feb 1989 in Broward Co, FL, born 9 Nov 1915.
(A death index shows where someone died, but not necessarily living).
The Social Security Death Index:
Muriel C. Lahaie, born 9 Nov 1915, died "Feb 1989." "Last Residence:"
Reno, Washoe Co, NV.
--Since there is no full date of death, it appears her death was reported to the Social
Security Administration, but either they did not obtain full information or did not record
it on the Master Death Index from which the SSDI is developed for sales.
----The "last residence" on the SSDI is NOT necessarily where a person actually
lived or died. The Social Security Administration calls it simply the "home of
record," and possibly the address where correspondence by the SSA was sent. It is
not necessarily where any benefit was paid to the person, survivor, or the lumpsum death
benefit (in years past, it was paid to anyone paying burial expenses, family member,
funeral home, city/county, attorney; today, a living spouse). It is sometimes the
location where the notification of death was sent to the SSA, sometimes where the lump sum
death benefit was sent.
You may know also:
Muriel married William Charles Rawlings, son: William George Patrick Rawlings.
Washoe County recorded documents only go back to 1999. No documents found in either
recorded documents or Assessor records for Lahaie or Rawlings.
Broward County Assessor has quite a number of Lahaie named persons. Closest was a
Murielle Lahaie, documents recorded in 2009 to an estate function.

Damp)
Muriel, Michigan
Gordon, 13 (28 April 1917, died 17 Sep 1972 in Cuda, WI; buried in King, Waupaca Co, WI).
Mary Olive, 9
Other children: Francis X, born/died 1912; Mary Helena born/died 1913; Patricia, born
1914/died 1920.
While I doubt she had lived in Reno at time of death, for a potential obit:

They have an obit book listed in their catalog.
