I live on the east coast so I can't look up the obituary but the information you are
looking for may not be there.
However, it may show where Wiley was born.
By looking in the 1930 census, a Wiley B Selby, age 9 shows up in Atchison, Lancaster
County, Kansas.
1930 census- Lancaster
Bunnell, Ralph M age 56 wid b Vermont, Father Pa, mother NJ
Bunnell, William K age 22 Kansas, Vermont, Penn
Selby, Sarah E age 29 divorced Missouri, Ohio, Missouri
Selby, Wiley B age 9 Missouri, Kansas, Missouri
The last two names had a big circle around them and the status of marriage changed to D
for divorce.
The 1920 census for the same family does not show Sarah.
Since her father was born in Ohio and mother in Missouri, I did a search in the 1920
census with first name Sarah and the following came up for Prairie, Schuyler County,
missouri.
Barr, Dudley C age 63 b Ohio, NY, Mass
Barr, Maggie, wife age 43 Missouri, Missouri, Missouri
Barr, Sarah, dau age 20 single, Missouri, Ohio, Missouri.
I could have gone to the Missouri marriages but thought I'd try the census first.
Thinking Wiley may be the first name of the father, I searched for the 1920 census for
Wiley Selby in Schuyler County, Missouri.
Selby, Wiley F age 59 Married Mississippi, NC
Selby, Luca A wife age 55 NC, NC, NC
Selby Lillian M age 33 Ky, Miss, NC
Selby, Ira S age 25 single Kansas, Miss, Nc
Selby, Willard C age 16 Kansas, Miss, NC
Remembering that the 1930 census stated that Wiley Barr Selby's father was born in
Kansas, it would either be Ira or Willard above.
Going to Missouri marriages, one finds a marriage license issued between Ira S Selby and
Sarah E Borr [Barr] on 24 Jan 1920 in Schuyler County, Mo.
Apparently they were not yet married when the 1920 census was taken.
I trust this helps
Carroll
