I've "rescued" an old photograph of William J. BIDLEMAN which was taken at
the Benton & Clark Studio in Perry, MO. The photograph appears to have been
taken in the 1890's with William in his teens at the time. Based on limited
research I was able to locate the following details regarding William and
his family:
William "Willie" James BIDLEMAN was b. 16 Mar 1874 in Washoe Co., NV to
parents William E. BIDLEMAN (1827-1878) and Julia A. W. TAYLOR (1844-1900).
William was one of two children born to this couple including a brother,
Epley BIDLEMAN b. 1876. After his father's death in 1878 his mother
remarried and had two additional children, Elsie Irene and Phillip Taylor
CARLING born in 1889 and 1893. William married Ella ? (1879-1920) and
together they had two children, Julia L. (1901-1974) and Lenora (1905-1990)
BIDLEMAN. In 1917 William was living in Wellsville, MO noting on his
military draft documents that he was a Mine Superintendent at a Fire Brick
Co. in Wellsville, MO.
Census records provide the following details:
1910 census of Wellsville, MO:
William BIDLEMAN, age 36, married 10 years, born NV, parents born NV/IL, a
Brick Plant Foreman
Ella BIDLEMAN, wife, age 31, married 10 years, 2 children/2 living, born IL,
parents born England
Julia BIDLEMAN, dau, age 9, born MO
Lenore BIDLEMAN, dau, age 5, born MO
I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photograph can be
returned to their care. If you are a member of this family, or you know
someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
