Former Resident Dies At Richmond
Francis Ray Dean, former Reno resident and son of Mrs. Lily Gilson, of Reno, died
yesterday morning at his home in Richmond, Calif.
A native of San Francisco, where he was born 51 years ago, Mr. Dean had been
practicing as a chiropractor at Richmond for the last several years. He is well
remembered here, due to the fact that he had often visited his mother in Reno after he had
left Nevada.
Mr. Dean was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Eastern Star, the Lions club, the DAV,
and the California Chiropractors Assn. He was a veteran of the first world war.
He is survived by his widow and daughter Nancy, both of Richmond, in addition to his
mother here. Funeral services will be held at Richmond at 3:00 Monday afternoon and again
at the Ross-Burke Co. chapel in Reno at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. Both will be under direction
of the Masonic Lodge. Interment will be at Mountain view cemetery.
