Probably be sent East.
The emigrant who was killed by the railroad accident at Lovelocks' was from
Wilkesbarre, Pa., and was named I.T. Marcy. Thursday's Silver State says:
Superintendent Free, of the Truckee division of the railroad, telegraphed to Dr. Johnson
yesterday inquiring if the remains of Ira T. Marcy were in a condition to be sent east to
his late home at Wilkesbarre, Penn. The effects of the deceased are now in possession of
the coroner. They consist of a gold watch and chain, diamond ring and studs, brestpin,
valise and blankets, railroad checks for trunks, and $60 in money.
For your info: Silver State was the name of another newspaper. The article also appeared
in Reno Evening Gazette same date same article.
