Rose L. Myers.
Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 pm today at the Alexander's Pyramid Funeral Home,
Sparks, for Rose L. Myers, 86, who died Saturday at her Sparks residence.
A native of Covelo, Colo., she was born Jan. 20, 1899 and had lived in the Sparks area for
the past 67 years, coming from Covelo.
Mrs. Myers was a homemaker, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Business and
Professional Women's Club, Knights of Pythias Sisters and Lady Firemen's Club.
Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by sister, Cecil.
Surviving are sons, Floyd L. Edsall of Carson City, and Glenn E. Edsall of Reno; sisters,
Millie Mast of Laytonville, Calif; and Margaret Schlieve of Sparks; five grandchildren,
and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with burial at Masonic
Memorial Gardens.

John A. Myers
John A. Myers, 72, of Sparks, died Sunday in a San Francisco hospital. A native of Elko,
he was born Jan 15, 1910, to Albert and Edith Krenka Myers.
Myers moved to the area from Wells in 1942. He worked on the Southern Pacific Railroad
for nine years and in 1949 he went to work for Sierra Pacific Power Company for 23 years.
Myers was a member of the Knight of Pythias, the Good Neighbor Sam R.V. club and the AARP
Club.
Surviving are his widow, Rose of Sparks, sons, Raymond and James Myers, both of
Sacramento; Floyd Edsall of Carson City and Glenn Edsall of Reno; brothers, Lloyd of Ruby
Valley and Gerald of Carlin; sister, Alma Wright of Elko; two grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild.
A funeral is scheduled for 2 pm Wednesday at Alexanders's Pyramid Funeral Home,
Sparks. Burial will be in Masonic Memorial Gardens.
