I'm not aware of funeral home records for Storey County during that time
period. The Storey County Recorder has a historical records search
available at
http://www.storeycounty.org/Recorder/ADSRecorder.asp. I did a
quick search for Reavey, but didn't see any obvious match. I've ordered
records from them via regular mail and called them on numerous occasions
over the last few months and found them to be friendly and helpful.
There are additional search options noted at
http://www.storeycounty.org/recorder/historic%20records%20search.asp,
including a link to a newspaper archive from that ere. I've found that
the *Territorial
Enterprise* was pretty gossipy in nature and would often note births,
deaths and even something as trivial as hunting trips in their pages.
I am working with the National Archives here in San Francisco on an index
to the civil court records from early Nevada. I should have a searchable
database based on my work in a few weeks. When I do, I look up Peter's name
and let you know if he shows up.

Would someone tell me how to obtain death information on Peter Reavey who
lived in San Francisco but died in Virginia City,Storey Co., Nevada on July
24, 1875. I suspect he may have been visiting a relative because there is
a Patrick Reavey living in Storey Co. during that period.
Are there any funeral home records or transportation record's available
for Storey County? Need help in Louisiana? Let me know.
Thank You
