Below are the names of the only Cock's from Cornwall that I ran across in the records
while I was there. And the only information I have is what was written on the tomb stones
or in the cemetary records I read. Hope maybe the John Cock helps although the
brother's names don't seem to match. If by chance it is your Cock family, I think
I have a photo of the tombstone and I'd be glad to send it. Judy
THOMAS COCK died 18 March 1876 aged 38 years Killed in trying to save the life of comrads
in the Knickerbacker shaft. (this one didn't say native, but Cock is a Cornish name
too.)
JOHN COCK a native of Ashton Breage Cornwall England who departed this life Aug (?) 1875
aged 35 years. Erected by his three bro's W. & J. & F. COCK and J. WILLIAMS
