Your message was posted several months ago and you probably have your answer. But:
Silver peak is a small mining town in western Nevada (USA) with a population of around
150. It is on a alkalai lake (dry most of the time). It is located about 20-25 miles
southwest of Tonopah, 20 miles west of Goldfield.
The town has been in existence since the late 1800's. Mining is its only business.
Gold and silver originally, but now lthium. In the early 1900's, Silver Peak and
Blair were important mining centers. Blair (a mile or two from Silver Peak) has
vanished.
Some family names connected with Silver Peak: Chiatovitch, Shirley, Hill, Humphrey,
Volmar.
Hope that helps.
