Hi Heather,
I thought your computer may have been out of action but was glad to receive
this today.
Nicole has chicken pox and her year ten formal is on Friday and her school
certificate all this week. She will no longer be infectious for the formal
but is taking the exams in a room by herself except for a minder. STill we
hope makeup will hide the last of the spots.
Leila has no spots but does have 2 teeth which she does not like showing.
Different to Nicole who was a born exhibitionist.
Jeff has got nowhere with his operation perhaps on Thursday when he meets
the new specialist. He had a colonoscopy yesterday which went well but he
is having trouble with his colitis again.
We are having a few people through the house but no sale as yet. People
like the house but say they want a larger yard. it will suit someone
perhaps retired. Apparently an investor has shown interest and said it was
the best they had seen so far.
I guess its getting cooler now. We have just had a week of rain. Most
welcome but certainly has not broken the drought for farmers.
I suppose it seems ages ago you were out here. At the moment I am trying to
arrange both money and itinaries for out trip to Europe in June. we are
having 9 days in London before the European river cruise. Money is short as
I am juggling paying for the new loan till either Noosa or this place sells.
We can't access Jeff's super till he leaves work and we want him to go till
august and get his long service. Still there are worse problems than this.
Fancy complaining about trips to Europe and having 2 &1/2 houses even if its
only for a short time.
Hope you and your family are well
Bye Lorraine

Subject: [NVSTOREY] ROWE graves
Hi! Alfedena,
Thank you for giving so much of your time to catalog the graves in the old
cemeteries.
You are saving valiable information for us all.
I have Henry K. ROWE & his wife, Mary (PETERS) buried in Silver City.
Another lister has kindly photographed the graves for me.
Mary PETERS is one of my g. grandfather's sisters.
She was born about 1840 in Gwennap/Ponsanooth area of Cornwall.
Following Mary ROWE's death in June 1885 & Henry K. ROWE's death in Oct.
1886, their 3 US born children ended up in Breage, Cornwall where they
were raised by their mother's sister, Eliz. PETERS. Mary's brother,
Walter PETERS, was staying with the family at the time of the 1880 census.
>From the State Historic office I have copies of the obits.
Are there any records for the Virginia Miners' Union or IOOF membership
for that time period that might shed more light on Henry K. ROWE's place
of birth?
Thank you so very much for all you are doing,
Heather
