Everything is in Virginia City. The people in the court house there are VERY
friendly and helpful. I found my great great grandfather's naturalization
papers there.
Good luck!

Subject: [NVSTOREY] Naturalization records and application records
Hello
I'm seeking advice on how to find naturalization records in/from Storey
Co. The person I am researching was naturalized in 1878 in Storey Co. - I
have his naturalization cert, which tells me very little other than his
country of birth and age. I'm trying to trace any application records
that may have preceded this - eg application of intent, etc. Can someone
point me in the right direction? Where are the Storey Co. court archives
located?
Also, am I correct in assuming that my ancestor needed to have resided in
the US for at least 5 years prior to being naturalized?
Many thanks
Simon
