H. F. Montague Takes Own Life
Tonopah.-Nev. Feb 13-(Special)-- H.F. Montague, well known Tonopah resident and former
member of the board of Nye county commissioners, took his own life here last night. Mr.
Montague's body was found this morning in the service car of the truck garage which
adjoins the Montague home. The motor of the car was still running, and fumes from the
exhaust pipe had been directed by a tube into the cab, which was closed tightly. Letters
he wrote to his wife and friends were found, and indicated, officers said, that financial
worries and despondency over his defeat in the last election prompted his action. Mr.
Montague who had lived here for many years, operated a truck line. Funeral Arrangements
have not yet been made. Survivors, in addition to Mrs. Montague, include five
grandchildren.
