Floyd H. Walton
A funeral for Floyd H. Walton, 79, Sparks and Dayton area resident for the past 55 years,
will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Walton's Sierra Chapel in Reno with Bishop Norman
Robinson officiating.
Visitation will be today from 3-9 p.m., at the chapel.
Mr. Walton died Monday at his Dayton home. He was born Dec. 9, 1909, in Rigby, Idaho, to
Charles T. and Emily Fox Walton.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dayton branch.
Mr. Walton was a machinist for Souther Pacific Railroad.
Among his suvivors are his wife, France Bonham Walton of Dayton; two sons, Richard of Reno
and Mark of Oregon; four daughters, Melinda Potter and Elizabeth Wickerstrom, both of
Reno, LaVonne Walton of Arizona and Helen Smith of California; a brother, Laverne of
Arkansas; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Mt. View Cemetery in Reno.
