Surname: BAUMHUETER
Two men with the surname BAUMHUETER are buried in Yerington Cemetery. As
this surname
is extremely uncommon in the U.S. I am certain they were part of my
family, but I have no idea
WHY they'd be in Nevada as the rest of the family immigrated to Illinois
and stayed there. It
occurs to me they could be the sons (or grandsons)of a BAUMHUETER who
went to NV during
the silver and copper mining days, but I don't know if that type of
mining was done in the area. I'd
be interested in knowing a bit of the history of Lyon and Yerington, and
of course, if anyone is
familiar with the surname, I'd love that info, also. Thank you!
