With the cemetery entry in Pershing Co. giving an exact date of death for
Joseph Cline you should probably get ahold of the Pershing Co. Recorder at
(775) 273-2408.
I transcribed the index from the Record of Deaths 1919-1939, and although
Cline was not entered into the index, there are 61 entries that are not
indexed at the beginning of the book, so Cline could well be one of them.
The people at the Recorders office are very helpful. Give them the name and
date and they will look up the information for you, and make a photocopy of
the death registration for you (they told me $1 is what they charge), and
those records hold a lot of great information. [see the death index page
for a listing of what the record contains at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~nvpershi/archives/death/dindex1.txt]
You can also, with the date, call the Pershing Co. Public Library at
(775) 273-2216. The library staff has been extracting all the information
from the Lovelock Review Miner and have a card file that is crossed
referenced. With name and date, they most likely may be able to find an
obituary for you.

Surname: CLINE
-------------------------
There is no death certificate here in Humboldt Co, Nev, for Joseph Richard
Cline, but I have a cemetery entry for him in Pershing Co, Nev: Joseph
Richard Cline - April 22, 1877 - Jan. 6, 1933. The cemetery in which he
is buried is Lone Mountain and it is in Lovelock. Markers for other Cline's
in the same cemetery are: Wm. "Bill" Cline, 1882 - 1968 & Joice Cline -
March 28, 1955 (don't know if birth or death date). However, in the
Winnemucca
Cemetery (Humboldt Co), there is an unmarked burial for Adeline
(Cline)
Defenbaugh, with birth/death dates as May 1, 1857 - June 29, 1938. She
was born in Ft. Scott, Kansas; father Mr. Cline & mother unknown. I can
take a look on Monday to see if I can find notice of Mr. Cline's death
in our newspapers. Hope this is of help.
