The library is open weekdays and Saturdays (on a non-holiday weekend) from 9
to 5 and Tuesday and Wed. they stay open until 9 p.m. All the papers are
on microfilm and the library has a reader/printer. They have an excellent
Nevada room that contains 3 cabineted-walls of publications on Nevada.
Humboldt County has no genealogical society any more. The historical
society is located at the Humboldt Museum at Maple Avenue & Jungo Road. The
museum's hours are Mon thru Friday, from 9 until 4 and on Saturdays from 1-4
p.m., on a non-holiday weekend. The recorder's office has death record
books from 1887 thru 1960. They have birth registers from 1887, but I don't
remember how many years are covered. They also have lots of marriage record
books, beginning in the very early days. None of the county offices, with
the exception of the library are open evenings and weekends. As for the
clerk's office, I don't know what exactly is there. Hope this helps.

The library web site indicates they are open Saturday 9am-5pm
Humboldt County Library, 85 East Fifth Street, Winnemucca, Nevada
89445, (775) 623-6388
They indicate a complete collection of local newspapers in there
Nevada Room. The genealogical society is also at that address.
The Humboldt County Recorder, 25 West Fourth Street Winnemucca, Nevada
89445
Phone: (775) 623-6412 is responsible for recording a host of data,
marriages among them. I doubt they would be open on the weekend.
However, the County Clerk is responsible for issuing marriage
licenses and maintaining marriage records. I suppose it depends if
you are looking for one or all. 50 W. 5th Street Room 207,
Winnemucca, NV 89445 phone number: (775) 623-6343 - e-mail:
coclerk(a)hcnv.us This office may have probate records also as they are
Clerk for the District Court.
A list of county offices is on line
http://www.hcnv.us/
Don't take any of this to the bank, I've never been in Winnemucca,
but I am going there June 1 for a couple of weeks to do some research
myself for the Humboldt NVGenWeb site. These are addresses and links
that I have ran across.
