Subject: [USGenWeb-SW] SW/SC Virtual Tour -- Site of the Week
Well, folks, I think enough interest has now been expressed in a
SW/SC
Virtual Tour of USGenWeb sites to kick off a Site-of-the-Week Tour.
And Debbie Wayne (djwayne(a)inu.net) has volunteered her USGenWeb county
site
-- Nacogdoches County, TXGenWeb (
http://www.rootsweb.com/~txnacogd/)
-- to
be the Site of the Week for the week of September 9 through 15. (You'll
find Debbie's roll call responses repeated below, which fill us in a bit
about her site and her enthusiasm for USGenWeb.)
Just a few words about the concept of the Virtual Tour. You'll find a
statement of goals at
http://skyways.lib.ks.us/genweb/sedgwick/virtualtour.html, as well as a
history of previous tour sites. I'll keep this site updated with a
listing
of SW/SC Sites of the Week during this Fall 2001 tour.
I would hope that just as many of you as possible would (1) take a tour of
Debbie's site sometime during this next week, and (2) drop Debbie a note
with your feedback (questions, ideas, suggestions -- and, of course,
compliments are always welcomed!<G>).
If anyone has suggestions, questions, ideas etc. related to the Virtual
Tour, please share them with all of us on the list.
And anyone who wants to volunteer his/her site as a future Site of the
Week, just send a private e-mail to me (jschunk(a)skpub.com). I'll try to
maintain a tour "calendar" less cluttered than my desk at the moment.<G>
Thanks everyone, and have a good trip!
John
