Since the election is in process, I no longer feel my presence is needed.
I began my work with USGenweb in 1996-97. Each state I went to as a researcher was new and
in the beginning stages. I transcribed records for each state I visitied as well as
cemeteries, census recordes, marriages, wills, probate records, etc. as many other
volunteers have. When I found my county abandoned, I volunteered knowing nothing about
html at all. I learned and eventually took over the State when it was abandoned and no one
else would take it.
I have thoroughly enjoyed working with USGenweb and continue to believe that it is one of
the greatest free volunteer efforts on the world wide web. I will continue to contribute
to it's files.
Thank you all for your hard work and dedication. I feel that I am still part of a
"family" that continues to grow each day. Best wishes to all of you!
