I bet there are some older photos around. I may get lucky and find a few.

Hello,
I just returne from Hillside Cemetery. That was the most
depressing thing I
have ever seen.
I took a roll of film and I am having it develoeped onto a
disk, but I do
not have a digital camera.
I need to talk to some real smart people on this list. I
put a photo on a
web page and thumbnailed it. The only problem is, the full
version took up
the entire screen. All I can see is a tiny piece of the
headstone.
Is there a secret to getting photos online? I need A, B, C
instructions. I
really don't want to get into learning another program
like photo shop. I do
use Front Page 2000. Any advice from anyone?

Hi Charles......you are right about that
cemetery....pretty depressing. It was a few years ago
that I got interested in it because it was in my
neighborhood. I used to go by there on walks right when I
was first getting into genealogy on the internet. I am so
glad that you decided to go there and take pictures. When
I got interested a few years back I wanted to transcribe
the records and take pictures of the tombstones also. I
started searching and found out that there had been
information back in the 1970's regarding vandalism there,
mostly from the fraternities bordering one side. I found a
copy of a letter to the Reno City Council and the plot map
and the burial records for the cemetery. Then came Cal
Pettengill and he got the RECORDS ONLINE! YEAH! That was
a great step forward. But still when I go for walks the
cemetery has been sitting, neglected. I have to send this
off because if I don't my charter email will log me off
and I will have lost what I have already typed.
Thank you for doing your part,
Margaret
