Subject: Regarding the upcoming USGenWeb Election
Dear Patricia,
I am a candidate to represent our SW/SC region's local coordinators (such as the
County Coordinators) on the USGenWeb Advisory Board for the coming two year term. If you
have a state mailing list to which many of your CCs subscribe, and if you think it's
appropriate, I'd appreciate your passing on a link to my campaign page at
http://www.saintclair.org/genwebcandidate/ and the other information below.
I would be happy at any time to answer questions and respond to concerns your coordinators
might have as they decide who they want to vote for during the election which will take
place throughout the month of July. Anyone who would like to ask me a question related to
my candidacy during this time is invited to contact me privately at genweb(a)saintclair.org
or to post their question to the USGENWEB-SW mailing list.
For more information about the set of three candidates (all good ones in my opinion) who
are offering to represent and serve their fellow coordinators on the board, check out the
very bottom group of names at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgwelections/national-2004/meet.htm. Although I don't think
there is a bad choice in the group, I do have a great desire to serve and would bring a
very strong genealogical and technological background to the board. I might also bring a
new perspective to the AB (as a new member) and could perhaps be helpful in establishing
supportive relationships with others in the genealogical community who are influential but
have not been involved with USGenWeb in the past.
