Subject: [USGenWeb-SW] USGenWeb Virtual Tour - Site of the Week
Permission granted to forward this e-mail --
The USGenWeb Virtual Tour Site of the Week for May 5-12 is Yuma County, COGenWeb
(
http://www.rootsweb.com/~coyuma/yuma.htm), coordinated by Lee Zion (lzion(a)plains.net).
Usually, the Site of the Week is volunteered by the site Coordinator, but in this
particular case, Yuma County was "nominated" by someone other than the
Coordinator. Lee graciously accepted the invitation, and I thought it would be interesting
to share these words which were written by the person nominating the site:
>>>
Lee is a tireless worker for the researchers in his and surrounding counties. He is also
the CC for Washington County, CO. He is involved in just about anything to do with the
military (he's retired army). He was, until recently, the USGenWeb Archives
Coordinator for Colorado and the CO Tombstone Transcription Project Coordinator. Lee
originated the Colorado Tombstone Photo Project, which evolved into a USGenWeb Special
Project. Lee manages a couple of other COGenWeb Project pages, but you get the idea. In
addition he is always willing to assist any who ask for help.
Lee Zion is the USGenWeb, at it's very best.
<<<<
Please visit sometime this week, and then drop Lee an e-mail with your comments,
suggestions, questions, praise, etc.
For more information about the Virtual Tour (and for a complete list of previous tour
sites), see

Thanks,
John
