Stephanie -
Generally, researching in Nevada must be done at the County level but it
does depend what time period your searching for. This site will give you a
great idea of what is available at the State level for Nevada:

Ormsby County is no more, but I'm sure the records are probably held at the
Nevada State Library and Archives in Carson City. You can follow the above
link to their home page.

Subject: Genealogy Search in Nevada
Hello. I am new to this list and to doing research in Nevada. Just
yesterday
I found my gg-grandparents and g-grandfather on the 1880 Ormsby County
census
and now want to trace them. I have some questions, please.
Is there an index of Nevada deaths and, if so, what years does it cover and
how does one look up something?
Is there an index of Nevada marriages and, if so, what years does it cover
and how does one look up something?
Are there any peculiarities about doing research that I should know?
Thank you very much,
Stephanie
