Ginger is certainly within her rights to revoke the use of the logo
she
designed. However, if she feels she is making a statement
to the AB, I don't agree. What she is doing is making a statement that
is making life "scary" for the average CC that has had nothing to do
with what she is angry over. Right now RootsWeb is having lists
problems, so many CC's won't ever receive the messages to stop using the
logo; there are many sick CC's, and CC's with family illnesses that
certainly won't get the message in the next 10 days, much less be able
to make a logo change; I know of one CC that is out of the country on
business for the next 3 weeks. Is she going to sue them or the USGenWeb
because the logos don't get changed? If not, then is she just going
around making idle threats? I can understand being angry over a given
situation that does not go as you think it rightfully should, but
lashing out at all the little people that have nothing to do with the
situation is carrying it way too far.....and yes, threating "legal
action" is lashing out at them. I don't know her or all the details of
the situation, but Ginger just gave me a negative impression of herself
and a better impression of the AB for acting on what I can now view as a
bunch of folks that don't care much about the average CC.
