I'm going to take a little genealogical road trip to Nevada in a
couple of weeks. Here's what I plan to do:
* Reno: Nevada Historical Society archives
* Virginia City: Silver City cemetery
* Carson City: State archives
* Lovelock: Catholic Cemetery, perhaps the newspaper
* Yerington: Cemetery (if I can fit it in somewhere; not sure I can)
Is there any place of genealogical interest in those locations I have
missed that I ought to check out?
On a related front:
1. Did Henry T.P. COMSTOCK, for whom the Comstock Lode was named,
have any brothers, sons or other male relatives in California? My
great-great grandmother's youngest sister was married to Capt. John
F.O. COMSTOCK of San Francisco. The fact that they both had three
given names tickles my suspicions.
2. F.W. SHARON married Leah DANDURAND in Virginia City on May 14,
1892. Is he related to William SHARON?
