Morning Bettie :), (smile on!)
I am still thinking things through too so I am glad to answer.
1. I don't think I am the BEST person. Bill and Scott are as capable as
I am, to be honest, and I think all three of us would do a good job. I
believe as Bill does that he CC's/LC's ARE this project.
We all hold titles, like SC Rep, CC Rep, NC, RAL, I hold in my state a
TNGenWeb Archivist Assistant title, (at least that is what I think Fred
and Mari call me when I am not on their nerves) but titles don't mean
anything when you get down to the basics. Everyone one of us is a CC/LC
(or File Manager, sorry special projects!) I still think that title is
the most important, and even holding another position if it is on the
National level, never changes who you really are. Because I LOVE being a
CC, I won't ever forget where it is I came from, and the opinions and
positions of the CC hold huge weight with me.
2. I would like to see more promotion of our .org. Not just the National
Level, but every state, every county. I would like to see some more
support for us from researchers to help us get records online, through
donations of their personal documentations on family. I would like to see
the CC's/LC's get more say so into decisions of the National Level, and
that would mean that our Reps get out and talk to folks.
3. I don't think I have an agenda. I do like the work that has gone into
the Grievance Proc.and would like to see that finally get settled and
working. It is in our face, so to speak, right now, and it would be a
great time, while we are all watching and reading, to get these worked out
and going. I take the agenda thing back, I do have one
thing...........membership meetings. I would try until I turned blue to
get them going because I believe they are important. I might keel over
trying, but I have heard a lot of support for them, and would LOVE to give
it a shot.
4. My spouse doesn't fish, but my son does, and I love to fish for Bass,
large or small mouth. I don't think he would go with me and quietly read
a book though. <grin>
5. I do, twin cats, just over a year old, their names ar Frick & Frack.
I tell them apart by the color of their noses. One is a momma's kitty,
the other is a daddy's kitty, and fiercly independent.
Greta, I am sorry to hear about your Cat, I lost my other one after 13
years, and still miss him to death.
Paulette
