Hi, my name is Patricia Scott and I have been involved in the USGW
Project
since 199 something...grin
I styarted out transcribing records because I couldn't find anything in
the
places I needed it. The project was new so I filled a few holes here and
there. I found that my own county was abandoned so i asked if I could take
it. I knew NOTHING about html. Then the SC gave me the parent county as well
and when he left a month later, I inheirited the state - no one wanted it.
Then I did all trhe cemeteries in my area and none were online. I asked
and aksed
then found out that the person handling the Tombstone Project was
sick and had been sick for a year so I took that also. Then I took the
census stuff for my state. and then..and then..
I stay busy and am very interested in Genealogy and history.
I like seeing my state online with more and more information and wouldn't
ya
know it, volunteers started coming out of the workwork. We have a lot of
terrifica folks here and this project fills another hole we wanted to fill!
Thanks for having us!
Pat
