Hi Pat:
I am a bit disturbed about the email about having counties to be up for adoption. I think
I need to be very upfront with you and let you know that I am not going to be able to
participate in some of the projects.
I am in a wheelchair and can not physically go out and take pictures of the cemetery
tombstones. Not one person that I know is willing to help with that task. White Pine will
not be able to accomplish that project unless you get someone else to take the county over
that can do it.
The second project, the family group sheets, is still not clear to me on what is to be
done with the information. Perhaps I missed an email telling me if I was to start new
pages on my website for WP but when I asked for a link to get an idea of what we were to
do, you sent me a link for a specific group of people that had their family info on it.
Then, you sent me info on how to include the info on the archives area I think. I am still
not clear what you really want me to do with them or where they are to go. I am not
familiar with working on developing databases.
I would rather not be responsible for putting these group sheets into the main archives
for many reasons. The main reason is too many chiefs in the kitchen is not good. I do not
mind starting new pages on the WP site with these names but I do not want to put them into
the main archives.
I had offered to help with the WP census you were working on but never got any pages to
work with. This may have been because the pages would have cost more than the $20 I told
you I could come up with to pay for census pages for me to work off of since I am limited
on my finances that I have for extra things. I believe you had offered to get them for me
and send them to me. I may have misunderstood the plan, but never heard anything else from
you.
I too, answer many queries a year and do lookups or direct people to the appropriate
places to find information. I have the most free time to work with the many websites I
manage in the wintertime when I am unable to get outside.
So, if I am failing in expectations here, perhaps it is best for me to step aside and have
someone else take over the GenWeb website and I will continue to do my WP website on
webpanda and that new person can just link to that site and concentrate on these new
projects that I can not be involved in.
I simply do not want to disappoint anyone or let anyone down because I am not physically
able or willing to do these projects. I already know that anyone I know is not willing to
help me accomplish them.
