Subject: [NVGEN] Thank you for the Welcome as State Assistant Coordinator
Hi Pat and All at Nevgen,
WOW!!! I didn't realize it would be so fast. When I applied I thought it
would
take a few days so I didn't sit on my computer.
All I can say is Thank you and what a wonderful surprise. I am truly
EXCITED about this.
I would like to say especially Thank you to Patricia for her quick
decision and to
assure her that I am here for her and what ever help is
needed, but I want to assure each of you Coordinators that I will be here
for you as well to answer any of your questions or problems you may have.
Patricia asked that I give a little Bio of myself. I'll try and make it
short.
First, my name Lureigne is phonetically pronounced Lorraine. Please don't
try
to memorize the spelling, just spell the regular way as long as there is
not another Lorraine as coordinator here. If there is you can address me as
Lu. Keep it simple and short:-)).
I live in a small town of Corona, Ca. (not so small any more, growing leap
&
bounds) Riverside County. This is southern Ca., approx 80 miles north east
of San Diego and 45 miles south of Los Angeles. I was born in Los Angeles 62
1/2 yrs ago (so now you also know how old I am:-). I have lived all over
Ca., as far north as Concord, Ca., but came back to southern Ca. and raise
my 4 children (single mom). I have 9 grand children and 2 1/2
g-grandchildren ( one will be born in Nov.) I meet my present husband 21 1/2
yrs ago and he is a sweetheart. In my working career I worked for several
banks until they started to merge. I went into business for myself as a
certified Paralegal, a P.I., and as a collection service.
I begin Genealogy approx 6 yrs ago ( love history and a mystery and I have
plenty
of them, brick walls) I joined several Ca. lists looking for my
ancestors and found myself expanding outside of Ca. as my ancestor list
grew. I have been on the NevGen list for a short time as some of my
ancestors went through and lived in Nevada. I also am List Admin for several
of my Surnames and for the CaOrange Co. list. I have been coordinator for
one of the Ca. lists. My main passion is to stroll cemeteries and take
pictures on requests, but I do look-ups at the county Recorders office as
well.
Patricia asked me to send a pictures of myself which I will do in a couple
of days,
I have to find a good one and send.
Thank You everyone and I hope I can get to know each one of you as well.
Talk to you all soon
Lureigne
