Yerda Edith MASON ROBERTSON, age 91, died Dec 2, 2006, after a short illness, in St
George, Utah. She was born Dec 4, 1914 in St Anthony, Idaho where she lived until 1933
when she married Joseph Henry ROBERTSON who had been her high school Drama Coach and
Biology teacher. She attained a Masters Degree in Music at the University of Nevada and
taught private piano lessons in Reno, Nevada for over 60 years. She lived in Kenya and
Iran where Joseph had temporary assignments.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints her entire life
where she led church choirs and played organ and piano. She inspired and accompanied her
daughters, Julia, Pamela and Roxana in trio concerts for over three decades. Ser sweet
spirit, faith and love for music continue in inspire her progeny.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998 after over 64 years of happy marriage.
She is survived by daughter, Julia (LeRoy) WENTZ of Buckley, WA; daughter, Sue Ellen
BADIEI of Woodburn, OR; son, Dr. Rob Roy ROBERTSON of Santa Monica, CA; daughter, Pamela
Ruth (Rex) JENSEN of LaVerkin, UT; daughter, Roxana Kay (Dennis) FORD of Reno, NV; 22
grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Robert (Gio)
MASON of Salt Lake City, UT.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec 13, 2006, at 11 a.m. at the LDS Ward Chapel,
2505 Kings Row, Reno, NV. A visitation will be held Wednesday, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the
LDS chapel prior to services. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, Reno, NV.
