Subject: [STATE-COORD-L] Bylaws Revision -- News
From: "Roger Swafford" <sagitta56(a)mchsi.com>
To: STATE-COORD-L(a)rootsweb.com
(**Please forward to all appropriate project lists**)
The Bylaws Revision Committee (BRC) has completed review of Section 1 of
Article X. Local Projects. No changes.
Section 1. Each state organization shall provide local websites which
reflect whatever divisional structure is appropriate for that state.
The BRC also completed a first draft revision of Section 2.
Section 2. Local Project Coordinators shall be appointed by the State
Coordinator in accordance with national and state guidelines.
In making Local Coordinator selections, consideration should be given to
knowledge and interest in genealogy in the area, technical ability,
activity in The USGenWeb Project, and existing workload. All Local
Project Co-Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator appointments must be
authorized and approved by the State Coordinator. Local Projects are
limited to one Local Project Coordinator and one Local Project
Co-Coordinator, if desired, who will each have full voting rights within
The USGenWeb Project. Local Projects may have as many Assistant
Coordinators as they wish, subject to authorization and approval by the
State Coordinator. Assistant Local Project Coordinators shall not have
voting rights. All Local Coordinators shall be subscribed to the state
mailing list.
All revision drafts may be viewed at http://home.mchsi.com/~sagitta56/
Members are encouraged to send comments or questions related to this or
other revision drafts.

Oh gosh no Pat. I just knew I have no time to mess with trying to put up any
family group info and do not have any to try to do at this time. I did put
an announcement on the WP discussion forum about it and will be adding the
info to the county page tomorrow.
I am busy getting ready to go with hubby to Fort Ruby near the Ruby Marshes
in the northeast corner of White Pine County for a few days to help
volunteer to clean up the site of modern debris with the Forest Service.
We will be there the 16th and part of the 17th. The Forest Service is
getting it ready for a historical interpretive site since it has been
swapped for land and added to the Ruby Marshes area.
Have a super day! :-)

Pat can anyone add a Family Group Sheet or is it only for CC's to do? How do
we let people know they can submit this information?
I was thinking of announcing the availability of submitting FGS to people
reading the White Pine Discussion Forum but am not sure I should do that.

The Family Group Sheet project is off and running. They are awaiting the approval to be an official "USGenWeb Project"!
It will be handled on a state level as far as this project is concerned, however, I agree that Nevada should have it on a county level and have included the below link to give you some ideas in designing your pages.
As soon as I have more info, I will pass it on to you. Please be sure if you participate, use the NVGenWeb logo on the page!! When we get the approval, you can add the USGenWeb logo, but not now.
http://www.rootsweb.com/~garichmo/families.html
Also, check the archives periodically as I have been adding and will be adding information on cemeteries. Will try and let you know individually if it pertains to your county.
Mark, there is now an index for the Battle Mountain Cemetery available if you want to link to it. Check the archive pages for Lander.
oh yeah, if you want some graphics, special of otherwise, let me know. We have a designer in the group who has offered!
