I'm not really interested in the bylaws discussion, nor do I even know what
they are truly about. However, isn't there a better forum or a way that
they could be discussed off the general list. It just doesn't seem to
pertain to genealogy research or history and really adds up to a lot of
clutter in the inbox lately.

There are three types of release for copyrighted data, Unlimited, whereas
the recipient can do whatever they want with it, Conditional, whereas ONLY
specific things in writing may be done, and Limited whereas a specific
non-defined purpose is intended, such as posting on websites.
These terms are defined by "commonality" with many such agreements, and the
wording has stood the test of time, and likely court cases as well.

Hi! I am a Nevada website host, state and 2 counties. I am a genealogist and
"grave walker".
We have numerous volunteers that have registered to help others. They are
listed on the Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness site at:
http://www.raogk.org
Also, Census records are online including territorial at:
http://www.us-census.org
This is the original USGW census project and is still going great guns.
Links are on the state page at:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~nvgenweb
Also found is a surname registry, death database, obit database, tombstone
registry, etc. etc. etc.
Go for it and it is all FREE thanks to Rootsweb!
