Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Hi! I am a Nevada website host, state and 2 counties. I am a genealogist and
"grave walker".
We have numerous volunteers that have registered to help others. They are
listed on the Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness site at:
http://www.raogk.org
Also, Census records are online including territorial at:
http://www.us-census.org
This is the original USGW census project and is still going great guns.
Links are on the state page at:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~nvgenweb
Also found is a surname registry, death database, obit database, tombstone
registry, etc. etc. etc.
Go for it and it is all FREE thanks to Rootsweb!

They are, but everyone who as whatyou are looking for may not be on this
list.
By being a statewide list, it is hard to have specific data at hand, a lot of
the research on line, and in teh mail list system is topic specific, or
locality specific.
Naturally if you want SMITH data you would look at SMITH-L, and the same
goes for localities.
Also there are numerous volunteer groups who have volunteers in place across
the nation, and elsewhere, they are a contact point to find you what you are
looking for.
Topic, locality, and family groups are widely available.

I know almost every thing Ancestry and the I - Net has on them
But I seem to have missed the H J one ,
guess I have the same surprise you do,
* How did I miss that?<G>*
So do you think there is more on this one ? Sure look it up for me < I am
obliged l;-))
There is a mention of an H C Matney I found once in NEV but some how in
moving my very large Den I can not find it any more, I looked every where,
but the were 5 people packing and moving things as I made the new Den and it
seems almost like a loss.

If I wanted Smith in NEV I would go to the NEV list <G> Where the Nev people
who do research are, so if there are No people here who do research in NEV
for Nev residents I guess I have ask the wrong question.
As far as SMITH-L goes I am the list owner to MATNEY-L and I came here
for a specific answer to a specific question , unless the NEV researchers
want to join all the surname lists we have no NEV researchers on the
MATNEY-L <G>
So anyone here who has access to ant NEV lookup references, can you or do
you wish to help out a request > Are there MATNEY on the NEV books that are

I was looking for all mentions of MATNEY in NEV
