Carol--Here's some background information about the LUCKY BOY in Nevada---my
Grandfather was the Comptroller for the mine, circa 1911-1919. He came to Nevada from NJ.
Nothing much remains at the Lucky Boy site, except some foundation pilings. I have been
told by the Exec Dir. of the Tonopah Mining Park in NV that it is a difficult journey to
the mine site--even today.
The Lucky Boy was owned by the Tonopah Minining Company-whose HQS were originally in
Philidephia, then later NY. Possibly a SF office--this is not confirmed.
Shawn Hall, Exec Dir of the Mining Park is in the process of writing a book about the
LUCKY BOY mine. I have historic photos--if you'd like to purchase copies of these
extremely rare photos-I'd be happy to provide them to you at a reasonable price.
Contact me if you need more information. Dont be confused by the other Lucky Boy mines
listed on the Web. The original is in Nevada.
