Thanks again Bonnie for the info. My g grandmother lived in Rawhide 1900-1905. I
rec'd a copy of an old newspaper clipping from Rawhide. It was about my g grandmother
with a picture of her , article titled "First Lady of Rawhide". She had the
first hotel there, a tent cabin!! I know very little about her except she traveled the
" mining circuit". She lived in Goldfield in the late 1890's and early
1900's. She had a hotel there that burned at some point. Census records I have
looked at the past few years do not have her name in them. She was Mary Suprenant. Her
son, Albert was listed in a Goldfield directory and census around 1900 and 1906. She
later moved to Keeler, Ca near Lone Pine. Probably around 1940's to 1956 when she
passed away and is buried in Lone Pine. According to the Rawhide article she crossed the
country a few times. States it stated she said she lived in, Dakota Territory, Aspen,
CO, Butte, MT and Nevada, all mining areas. I have checked so!
many websites, etc in the past 2 years without any luck, even made a trip to Carson City
and the State Archives library. Anyway, sorry to write such a lengthy note, but if you
come across any one by that last name I would appreciate it if you could let me know. The
spelling of the last name could be misspelled. the one above is the correct spelling.
Thanks again, Pat
