Hi Joan,
I think your best bet on the burial site is to go to the museum and ask. They
are very helpful there and can give you guidance. All of the records on line
that we have stop about 1995. Here is the contact information for the
Northeastern Nevada Museum:
1515 Idaho Street
Elko, NV 89801
775-738-3418
webpage:
http://www.museumelko.org/
On the obituary, I don't live in the area, but know the Elko County Library has
newspapers on the area. I don't think they search for people there, but never
hurts to ask:
Elko County Library:
720 Court Street
Elko, NV 89801
775-738-3077
If you have
ancestry.com they have the Reno papers (Nevada State Journal and the
Reno Evening Gazetter) online, but I don't know the dates of the papers. A
friend of mine looked up family for me from 1935-1950. She found two of my
great grandfather's obituaries.
Hope this helps. Let me know how you do as I'd benefit from what has helped you.
Happy hunting,
Maureen Brook

New to this list and looking for the burial place for Lucie McIntosh, nee
Audevard. Her obituary appears in the Elko Free Press on 10 January 2005.
Also, are there any kind listers that would be willing to look up the
obituary for me?
Many thanks for any help or information offered.
Joan
