Hi
I have found a family line of August Alles (born in Dubois CO., Indiana) who went to
Nevado in 1875 at the age of 18. He married Sarah Wilson. August (1857-1937) had 6
children--William, Claudia, Charles, Robert, Samuel, and Rose. August belongs to
Jacob Alles (a prominent furniture manufacturer in the county) and Apollonia Schmitt
(sister to my hubby's gg grandfather). Apollonia died 1905 and her children are
listed, except for August. I tried to find information on him in our archived old
newspapers as to when and why he went to NV, but nothing. For a long time I thought he
might have died very young, but there are no death dates of him-- he is on the 1860 and
1870 census with his parents. I do have this Alles-Schmitt line pretty well
documented and would like to find just what happened to August and why he did go to
Nevada. Can anyone help me?
