I've "rescued" two old photographs belonging to the CLARK - RUNELS Family
of
California. The first photograph is one of Frank Elmer CLARK and his bride
Mary Eliza RUNELS. The photograph was taken at the Collier Studio in
Riverside, CA in 1887 just before they married on Sept 4th 1887. I would
guess that Frank was in his 20's or 30's at the time and Mary in her teens.
The couple was married at the Mission Inn in Riverside, CA and are noted as
the Grandparents of Richard Roy CLARK.
The second photograph is identified as Roy Henry CLARK and was taken at the
Garden City Studio in Los Angeles, CA. The photograph was likely taken in
the early 1900's with Roy noted as 1 year old at the time it was taken. In
addition to his name and age someone has also written "Richard R. CLARKS
Father" on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research I was able
to locate some information regarding a possible match with Roy as follows:
Roy Henry CLARK b. 31 Oct 1912, married Isabella May FRANCIS in about 1942
and died 15 Jun 1999 in Las Vegas, NV, buried at Bellflower, CA.
I'm hoping to locate someone from this family so that these wonderful old
photographs can be returned to the care of family.
If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please
contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
