KARLEEN CHERYL (CHERI) JOHNSON of Niceville, FL, passed away peacefully in her daughter’s
home on July 14, 2004. Cheri was born in Las Vegas, NV on May 28, 1945 to Orson Francis
and Lucille Sevey Johnson. She was raised in Overton, NV and graduated from Moapa Valley
High School with high honors. She married Roy Rencher; they later divorced. She lived in
Redlands, CA for the last 25 years until moving this past May to live with her daughter in
Florida. Cheri loved to travel and while living in Iran, she visited almost every
European and Middle Eastern Country. Cheri loved her daughters and granddaughters. She
shared her love of painting and her originally designed sweaters with them. She shared
her love of family and her heritage with them and tried to help them understand how
special they are. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Kristin
Janelle Rencher. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Lynette (Scott) Caulkins and their
daughters, He!
ather, Devon and Marissa, all of Niceville, Florida, and Nicole (William) Martin and
their daughters Chelsea, Julia and Mariana of Preston, ID; sisters, Pamela Paine of Provo,
UT, Judy Marshall of Logandale, NV, and Vicki Johnson of Newton, NJ. Graveside services
were held Friday, July 23 at 9 a.m. at Provo Cemetery, Provo, UT, 610 S. State St., where
family and friends met. Services were under the direction of Berg Mortuary of Provo. The
family wishes to express deep gratitude to all those who loved and supported Cheri with
meals and transportation to doctor appoints during he past year.
