Don Porter, 87, formerly of Loveland, died Oct. 27, 2002, in Las Vegas, Nev.
He was born Nov. 17, 1914, in Rexburg, Idaho. He served a Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints mission to France from 1936 to 1939, and served in France, Belgium and
Switzerland.
He was employed by the FBI as a special agent in Washington, D.C., during World War II. He
then was employed in the insurance field as a regional claims manager for 32 years. He
retired in 1978.
He and his wife, Elli Porter, moved to Loveland in 1997 from Lakewood. He was an avid
golfer.
He is survived by his wife, Elli Porter of Las Vegas; two daughters, Diane and husband Si
of Loveland, and Donna Porter of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.
