Hello, Your request was sent 12 Nov., on the 11th I was visiting a cousin, whom I'd
never met. I left 1 Dec.. We had alot of visiting to do as she is the gg granddaughter of
John K., my gg grandfather, James brother, we shared lots of old pictures. She lives in
Reno. I enjoy fishing and got to fish in Donner Lake. You know, it took those pioneers at
least a month to reach the lake and I'm sure they were overjoyed to see it. Now, your
Wilson family didn't leave any "tracks" in Clark Co., AR.. Tomorrow I will
look in a few of the AR Census microfilm, starting with the 1920 and work backwards. I did
find a James P Wilson. 1871-1902, buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Arkadelphia. If J P
was married in 1899 and he was 28 years old, he would have been born in 1871???? There is
no charge for my research, unless I have to travel to a destination. I enjoy doing this
because when I have research a name for somebody at times I have come accross a laterial
name fr my Kuykendall family!
as I did in the Wilson. A John Wilson of Arkadelphia, 1837 was the 1st President of the
infamous Real Estate Bank of Arkansas. He killed a man by the name of Anthony with a knife
on the floor of the Arkansas House, He wasn't charged, because the jury felt he acted
in self-defense. Though he was acquitted, the connection to the Arkansas Real Estate
Bank(in which he had invested heavily) eventually ruined him financially. He and his 1st
wife, Sally, who died at the age of 50 years had 12 children, one of which was Elizabeth
(Betsy), who married Abraham Kuykendall Harden. I'm very aware of Kuykendall &
Harden marriage, now I will have to search my k files to see where he belongs. I will try
to get back with you tomorrow. Regards, Sonny K
