I am sorry to report I was unable to find a death notice or obituary for Alfred Fehnel, I checked from 27 Dec 2004 till 10 Jan 2005. I even checked the local stories for an accident or etc. But I came up blank. I was hoping it had just been missed when the paper did its online listing, but it sure wasn't there to be found. Again I am sorry.
Sincerely, Evleta

I am sorry I was not of better help. Also if you want other photos just let me know, it is no problems to go take them.

I checked for a two week period past the date of death and was unable to find a notice or obituary for Mr. Sanders. I am sorry. I did check the local section to see if there was a story about his death by accident, etc. but also came up blank, on date of death and for two days afterwords. It looks like they probably did not have a death notice done.
Sincerely, Evleta

Evleta,
Found the obit for Floyd CARVER in Las Vegas R-J Jan 26, 2000, from the website addy you posted (thanks--very helpful!):
"Floyd Carver
Floyd E. Carver, 91, died Monday at a local care center.
He was born Feb. 8, 1908, in Oneida, Iowa. An Air Force veteran, he was a retired aircraft mechanic for the federal government and a 47-year resident of Las Vegas.
He is survived by his daughter, Clara Gustafson of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. today at Bunkers Mortuary with graveside services at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bunkers Eden Vale Memorial Park."
I'm thinking he is not Loretta's husband (see my other email about Dryden Mossop Edwin Carver). But at least, now we have the obit to see.
The newspaper's index doesn't go back far enough for Dryden Carver's obit (he d April 16, 1986). Do you have any other access to an index that could find that? I'd like to confirm that he was the right husband to list for Loretta.

Evleta,
I just took a look at the Obit Daily Times index, and I don't think they go back that far. There is no listing for Dryden CARVER, d April 16, 1986, but the SSDI shows he d in Clark Co, probably Las Vegas.
Anyhow, I think that is the actual husband to Loretta Novy CARVER, not Floyd Carver. However, let me know who you find w Loretta (if anyone, she may have been divorced, since there was no mention in her obit of a husband) when you see the cemetery records again.
Floyd may have been brother to Dryden--just a guess.
Thanks so much for checking this.

Hi, Evleta,
I found an entry for an obit for Floyd Carver dated Jan 26, 2000 in the Obit Daily Times index on rootsweb. This is probably it, and I probably can get it through someone else if you are unable to find it. If I do find it, I'll also post it here, in case someone else looks for it in the archives.
However, I am not sure that Floyd and Loretta CARVER are husband and wife. There is a rootsweb WorldConnect file that shows Loretta Novy CARVER married to someone by the name Dryden Mossop Edwin CARVER, who d April 16, 1986 (doesn't say where). SInce his is an older obit, I may need your help finding that one. I'll check w the index and see, first.
Before you go through the trouble of photographing their headstones, let me see if there really is a connection between these two.
Thanks again for all your help!
