Hi Don,
So glad you understood I was not trying to be rude. I appreciate everything you put on
the site. My Dad lived and died in Fallon but I am afraid it is not my state. I live
in DE, not sure you can get any further away. My cousin Yvonne lives in Carson City and
she has best legs for running around, bless her heart.
Thank you so very much for explaining the services. You have been great.
Much Appreciated.
Sandy

Good morning Sandy,
I am grateful that you called my attention to the omission of names
of personnel who served in WW II. We often wonder if anyone peruses
the material we post on the web sites and to receive input from
researchers is rewarding.
However, it is as you said, the enlistment records displayed are for
the Army only. They do include the old Army Air Force, but exclude
USAir Force, USMarine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, SeeBees, Merchant Marines, etc.
The material was downloaded from a data base found online at the
National Archives, NARA, but there is no comparable database online
for other branches of the service. Perhaps some day, hopefully, they
will be available, but not now.
I live in Kansas and our Historical Society here does have all
military names online. However, you have to search for each specific
name. Perhaps Nevada does also, but I am not knowledgeable of whether
they do or do not.
I did get to visit your state a year or so ago, spent a week in
Winnemucca and surrounding areas reading and photographing cemeteries
and picking up marriage records, etc., for the Humboldt and Pershing
county web sites. Wish I lived in Nevada, I could do a lot more for
the web sites.
Again, I appreciate your concerns and I thank you for the message you sent.

Hi Don,
Thanks for all your work its very kind of you and really is
appreciated. But I do have a question for you. There are two
people that were enlisted and not listed here:
Clyde Smart Jr.
David P. Harrigan (also known as Skip)
Frank J. Armas
They were in the Marine Corp and US Navy (Seabees) and this may be
the reason but was just wondering. There were so many Armas young
men but you only listed one.
Really Don I am not trying to be rude, I really do appreciate
everything you put on the site and I look at all of it but I am only
questing it.
