Hi!
I am new to the list and thought I would start off by submitting my surnames
and where I need some help at..
Glazier, Charles Edgar b. Feb 1874 in NJ(?) d. ?(I'm thinking NV)
married
Wood, Mary/May b.Jan 1878 d. in Michigan. May/Mary was the daughter of
Benjamin and Lucy Wood.
This union between Charles and May brought 2 children:
Seymour Edgar Glazier b. 17 June 1895 in Reno, NV
Frank ? Glazier b. Apr 1897 in Reno, NV.
Now, on the 1900 Census, Mary with 2 sons (Seymour and Frank) show up as
living with Mary's parents but NO mention of Charles.
But I know Charles was still around because I have him on both the 1900 and
1910 Census as living in Reno.. BUT..in 1917, Charles shows up as purchasing
land in Churchill Co...
Here lies the mystery..I lose Charles after this date..Vanished!! POOF!
Now..Mary/May Glazier and now 3 sons (Seymour, Frank, and NOW Harold) come
to Michigan around 1920 or so..I cannot find this Harold's birth or any
mention of him to Charles E. Mary/May remarried/died in Michigan and I have
found only 2 of the 3 sons (Seymour and Harold).
Sooo..does anyone know how can I recount the missing 7 yrs btw 1910-1917.
Plus how would I find if another child was born to this couple? I am
guessing Harold was probably born around 1900 or so..
Oh and another ??.. at what age did Individuals go onto the Census?? I am
thinking as children they would be listed under the parents..so why would my
Seymour show up on the 1910 Census as living in Reno (he would have only
been 15 yrs. old) and living in a different place. His father was in Reno
Precinct and Seymour was in the Sparks Precinct.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
